What’s the best part of having a garage sale? Getting money for getting rid of your unwanted odds-and-ends, of course! What’s the worst part? Well, besides lugging all that stuff up from the basement and down from the attic, most folks would say running around town tacking up garage sale signs and putting ads in the paper is an equally troublesome task.

Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone who would handle all those advertising and promotion tasks for you? Someone who would run an ad in all the local papers, furnish you with bright, colorful signs — even list your garage sale on a guide for all to see? Well, that’s just what the STC Underground Teen Center plans to do during its annual “Community Garage Sale”. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to purchase additional computer and educational materials and upgrade sound equipment used during teen concerts featuring local bands.
